Elgin, Moray
Laundry Talk is Paul, from Elgin, Moray. Behind the decks since 1998, and making music for nearly as long — around ninety tracks, deep, hypnotic, vocal-heavy and mostly strange, almost none of which anyone ever heard.
That wasn't shyness, and it wasn't a plan. It was just what the work was: made at night, for himself, built for the long warm-up rather than the peak-time drop.
The first one to leave the room is called “Understand”. It's built around a voice recorded on a pre-dawn hike up Mount Batur in Bali — the kind of thing you capture without knowing what it's for.
It's signed to Keep Thinking. John Digweed and Sasha have played it at Tofte Manor, and Digweed played it on Transitions. It lands on 28 August 2026.
Releases, mixes, guest spots and the preset packs all come from the same place. Nothing here is polished for the sake of it. If it sounds like it was made by a person in a room, that's because it was.
About Laundry Talk
Laundry Talk is Paul, from Elgin, Moray. Behind the decks since 1998, making music for nearly as long — deep, hypnotic, vocal-heavy and unapologetically strange, built for the long warm-up rather than the peak-time drop.
For close to two decades almost none of it left the room. That changed with “Understand”, signed to Keep Thinking and played by John Digweed and Sasha.
